Rose Leaf Reverie - Original Botanical Watercolor Painting

Layers of rose leaves waiting in patient expectation for their rose blossoms to arrive. Painted in luxurious greens and deep blues, each leaf was first hand-drawn under a wild rose bush. Using the shadow they cast on the paper to draw the leaf shapes, the paper was later painted in layers of watercolor to capture the depth of the branches.

The painting measures 8” x 8” and includes a .25” white border. Frame and mat are not included.
